On 12 December, the Policy Learning Platform is hosting a webinar on the topic of entrepreneurship and what factors make an incubator programme a success.

Incubators and pre-accelerator programmes are well known and present in many regions across Europe. Some are small initiatives on the local level while others are global networks with hubs across Europe.

While many incubators are privately run, there are also various public initiatives launched by regional authorities or development agencies. Most people agree that incubators are needed to support startups and ensure a higher survival rate. However, several questions remain:

What makes an incubator successful?

What considerations and methodologies that an incubator needs to implement to provide useful support to entrepreneurs?

What is needed beyond mentoring, workshops and coworking spaces?

What are the latest trends in incubation?

These topics will be discussed during the webinar where will have a panel discussion between representatives of EBN, Startup Europe Regions Network and EuraTechnologies and presentations on good practices from the START EASY and SPEED UP projects.

Andrii Myrovych, Project Manager at the Lublin Science and Technology Park and Project Manager in the Start Easy project will present the good practice INNOVA-INVEST pre-incubation program with equity.
